Rude customer service agents

Very rude and disrespectful customer service agent by the name of Jennifer Juma 307691, I will never fly Spirit again. Unnecessary charges for baggage fees.

Wasted $300 + hours of my time

First, I spent over $300 on flight changes. Then I missed my flight (because right as I was boarding, they told me that I had to get an immigration form to leave the country - which was not made clear to be before, as I had asked 3 different people and they all said I had the correct forms). They couldn't wait an extra 5 mins for me to get the form from immigration, so I missed my flight. Then I had to walk down all the way to get my checked luggage (lugging heavy bags all the way without anyone from Spirit offering to help - go figure). Then I spent several hours waiting for my luggage to arrive. And for all that, they refuse to reimburse me a single penny or even offer me a flight voucher. Unbelievable. If I had gone with another airlines like Jetblue, I'm sure they would have waited for me or at least offered me a flight the same day. But not Spirit. The money you MIGHT save flying with Spirit is not worth all the money and time you will most likely lose in the end. I won't be flying with them again.

STAY AWAY FROM SPIRIT! SCAMMERS

Worst experience ever. Would never recommend flying with spirit. The company thrives off of charging passengers with $55.00 charge for items that are NOT considered carry ons. I have been flying with the same backpack for many flights and it has never been considered a carry on. Stay away from Spirit. The company has made its money from ripping people off. Stay away

The most ridiculous and shamble airline…

The most ridiculous and shamble airline I have ever traveled with. Rude staff at BWI in Maryland. Using a very conned way to steal from passengers by Charging $65 for carry on bags.

I would give minus stars if possible

I would give minus stars if possible. I will fly on any third world country airline before even thinking about this piece of trash they are calling themselves an airline. Impossible to communicate with and people who are trained to confuse the issue and pass you on to another will do the same.

Surprisingly good flight.

Wow, can’t really believe I am giving them a four star but on my last trip they earned it. The fare was cheap. I knew going into it I would be buckled and dimed into added costs but I factored that all in and the trip was still a lower cost. Our flight was under two hours so we could deal with the small seats. We brought our own food on so we did not need to pay on the plane. The employees seemed to be happy to work. I will say say the plane was full, but that’s the end game right. Can’t blame them for packing us in. I would fly them again l, but you really need to make sure you know what fees you will encounter and if your ok with them and if your better sticking with them or going another airline.

WORST AIRLINES EVER!

Don't let this airlines cheap fares fool you, they are horrible! You have to pay for everything I'm surprised they don't charge to breathe on the plane. They charge for bags to go under plane, then your carry on has to be the size of a purse, they charge you to choose your seating so if you are with people or another person they can separate you which they did to me and my husband. The seats on the plane are horribly uncomfortable you're crammed i, the seats don't recline there is no foot room its like sitting on hard wooden park bench for hours on end. They say the plane was cleaned but when i got on there was hair grease on the back of my head rest also the window had smudges. So our flight was to leave March 15th 2021at 8:28pm, as my husband and are on our way to the airport they called telling us the flight had been cancelled, so asked then to accommodate us with an extra stay at the hotel we stayed at because we had no where to sleep and we also rented a car and of course they said it was not there problems and hung up the phone on me many times after me calling them back and asking them to do a little better then just hanging up they caught an attitude with because i asked them to help out little more, like for me to speak to a manager and she said to me that she was the manager i couldn't believe she was a manger and treating customers that way. There was nothing else i could do we were stranded so my husband and i had to dig into our savings to pay for all the extra things we had to pay for, after this horrible experience and taking this horrible airlines to see my sick brother i was just overwhelmed. Ever since we have been back I've ben trying to get in touch with someone to see if i can get so funds back but nothing has been done because everyday i am on hold for hours and hours on end I'm just so fed up i don't know what else to do. THIS AIRLINE IS GHETTO I WILL NEVER TAKE IT AGAIN I RATHER DRIVE. After i took this airline and told family and friends about it they said to you should've told me what airlines you were taking i would've warned you not. SMH

Thank you for the absolute most racist airline company that we ever flew with! Also thank you for lying about the fact that we were not wearing masks, just so that your ego would stay on top. Miserable company with miserable people.

Spirit Airlines charges you for every…

Spirit Airlines charges you for every single thing. They advertise low fares but they charge you on the back end. IF the air you breathe on plane could be charged they would bill you for that. This was my first time flying with them and I will never fly with them again.

They do not know how to take care of…

They do not know how to take care of there clients. I was told I could cancel my flight do to COVID all they did is give me a credit that I have to use in 3 months. This is ridiculous and this is why they are the worst rated airline I hope Covid put them out of business So we can get the big airlines to take care of customers

Left stranded and unsafe COVID flight conditions

Spirit Airlines IS NOT practicing COVID safe distancing by passenger spacing between Window and Aisle seats. I just flew 5 legs with Spirit and every flight the middle seats were filled, and not with people from the same party. I felt so vulnerable to COVID in their planes. Two flights announced completely filled flights. Plus one of my flights was cancelled and I was put on a flight 36 hours later. My connecting flight in LAS scheduled for Monday 10:20pm was cancelled and replaced by a flight Wednesday 11:00am. Spirit would not provide a Hotel or Taxi even when they failed to have an aircraft for my flight. This is the first time I was stranded overnight and the responsible airline would not provide any compensation, hotel or taxi. My replacement flight was scheduled to arrive in BWI at 11:00pm Wednesday, when my return flight was scheduled for 7:00am Thursday, eight hours later. Not even enough time for me to leave the airport. I had over $500 additional out of pocket costs because of Spirit's issue. I had to pay 2 nights stay at a Las Vegas hotel because my connecting flight was cancelled and my layover now became 36 hours. Because I did not arrive into BWI at my scheduled time and date, I incurred a rental car and hotel penalty for a No Show. Spirit declined to help with any of my incurred costs. My trip cost was more than double as a result of Spirit cancelling my connecting flight. I also had to rebook Last-Minute hotel and rental car reservations at peak prices when I finally arrived at my final destination. NEVER FLY SPIRIT.

I would give zero stars if I could..

I would give zero stars if I could... never go with Spirit airlines if you are traveling internationally make sure that the COVID 19 test is 72 hours within arrival time to your destination otherwise the test will not be valid.
They never give you the right information worse customer service ever!!!! I call twice to make sure I had the correct information regarding Covid 19 test requirements and also checked the website but come to find out that the information they have at the counter is different than the one on the website and when you call . My husband missed his flight and now he has to spend more money taking another Covid test.
They play with people and make additional money by rescheduling your flight.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!
